Hello everyone from Nature's Sunshine Products. I hope that you are all well on this beautiful cold, sunny winter day in February. Some of you are in warmer climates, but all of the northerners come down and bring you our germs. Of course, Nature's Sunshine has many products for increased immunity during the long winter months. Some of my favorites are Trigger Immune, Olive Leaf, ALJ, Immune Stimulator, Noni Juice or Capsules called Nature's Noni), Echinacea Purpurea, and Germanium Combination. Homeopathic remedies are also quite effective and easy to carry with you. Prevention is for bacterial infections and can be used in conjunction with other immune products. Influenza is excellent for Flu prevention (once a week) or should be taken quite often during the day and night (about 6 times) if you have the Flu. You don't have to take as much as they recommend on the bottle....about 1/3 of a dropper will do. Colds is for colds, not a serious bacterial infection, like bronchitis. Don't take homeopathics near food, other supplements, essential oils, coffee, tea, or peppermint because it reduces their effect. NSP's essential oil blend called Guardian is also very helpful throughout the cold and flu season. Place a couple of drops on the Thymus area and/or the balls of the feet. This oil is quite beneficial for you when traveling on crowded planes, trains and buses. Essential oils can be quite strong, so if you have sensitive skin, mix it with a carrier oil, like olive oil. Never put on essential oils right after a hot shower or bath. If you keep some of these supplements in your arsenal, then you should breeze through winter with no illness.

When I lecture on Natural Health, I usually do a "Rant" on products and why some products are better than others. First of all, most health food stores carry supplements that are based on the corporate model. Whole Foods is a corporation. They are located in Boulder, CO and they are called Wild Oats in the southwest and in other parts of the country. The supplements that they stock are rated (by me and other experts) and they don't like me very much, from (think cars) a pretty good Buick, all the way down to a beat up old Ford truck from 1963. That is why if you go into a health food store to buy something, always ask the ONE person who knows the stock for their best product. You may then get the pretty good Buick. The doctors and nutritionists get the good stuff...the Rolls Royce of the industry because these labs don't sell to health food stores. Nature's Sunshine carries Rolls Royce products that are available to the public. You are lucky to have found them. I have been with NSP for 15 years and am continually impressed with their products and quality.

Now, on to a very upsetting subject.... I am sorry that it comes with my first newsletter to you, but you need to know this and pass along the information. Tell everyone you know. Fax, write, e-mail, and call as many Congressmen, Governors, media people as possible. Insist that there be a full investigation by the U.S. government as to who and what is CODEX and who are they accountable to. The media is sitting on this because it is HUGE. And many of them probably don't know either. If you continue to scroll down, you will see an article from the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN), of which I am a member. The latest ploy by globalization and the pharmaceutical industry is to take away all of your supplements. Then make you pay a lot of money for poor quality supplements that they would make and control. Why? Well that is quite simple...Natural Medicine cuts into their profits. You can't patent a nutrient, and food is still much less expensive than drugs. Nutrients are made out of foods. Herbs are foods, as stated in the Bible. So, if this CODEX organization gets control like they have in other countries, then the entire natural health multi billion-dollar industry in the U.S. would evaporate overnight and be Gone With the Wind. The GNC and Vitamin Shop on every other corner would go the way of the "dodo". The top labs like Standard Process, Tyler, Integrative Therapeutics, Metagenics, Amni, Biotics, Longevity plus, and of course Nature's Sunshine would have to close down. Those products would be replaced by the junk you get at the drug store, with most of the superior products being discontinued. The alternative practitioners like ME would be forced to close, as well as many holistic centers and spas. And if the medical doctors are salivating at the prospect of being able to write prescriptions for Vitamins, don't worry, the Vitamins will be of such poor quality, that they won't work anyway. And oh yes, the organic herb and whole food growers would be out of business as well. This group, CODEX and others tried to do this in 1993/94. It became the biggest issue of the time and would be again...if anybody knew. So, our goal is to get to as many people as possible mobilized and active.....and screaming at anyone in a position of authority. THE VOTE IS IN JUNE. They managed to back them off in Britain. We can too! There is a BIG election in 2006 for many of the members of the House and Senate. The CODEX issue is a non-partisan global issue, but a lot of these Congresspersons have their palms greased by the pharmaceutical companies. It needs to be made very clear that we want free access to our health freedom and to our supplements or they will be out of office.

This is the age of covert government and the lessening of many freedoms that we have all enjoyed in the past. Please take some action and get the word out on this CODEX. Your health, even your life may depend on it.
